Thuy Tien Le – President
Project Coordinator – Société de Développement Économique de la Colombie-Britannique (SDECB)
Thuy Tien Le is the founding President of CVUBA and a seasoned project manager with over a decade of experience in diplomacy, international cooperation, soft skills development, and immigrant integration across France, Vietnam, and Canada. She leads economic immigration and credential recognition initiatives at SDECB and is regularly invited to speak at international conferences such as Metropolis, IRCC BC–Yukon Summit, and UNESCO forums. As President, she provides vision, strategy, and leadership for the organization’s growth, partnership building, and impact in the community.
Calvin Trung Nguyen – Vice President
Case Management Coordinator – MOSAIC, WorkBC Vancouver Northeast
Calvin Trung Nguyen brings extensive cross-sector experience, from real estate development in Vietnam and Singapore to employment consulting in Canada. Since arriving in Canada in 2021, he has worked at RBC and currently serves as a career consultant and case manager at WorkBC. As Vice President of CVUBA, Calvin provides operational support, strategic insight into employment programming, and plays a leading role in mentorship initiatives and newcomer empowerment.
Thi Nguyen – Member at Large
Corporate Energy Manager – City of Richmond
Thi Nguyen is a Corporate Energy Manager at the City of Richmond, bringing over 20 years of experience leading climate action and sustainability initiatives across Canada and Southeast Asia. He holds a Master of Engineering Leadership in Clean Energy Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Throughout his career, Thi Nguyen has held leadership and advisory roles with the IFC/World Bank, Indochina Capital, Deloitte Consulting, and Black & Veatch, among others. He has twice received the FortisBC Energy Specialist Program Award for his leadership in advancing energy conservation initiatives in Canada. As a regular contributor to VNExpress, he is passionate about advocating for clean energy transitions and carbon neutrality.
Tu Dao
Associate Chair, BBA Accounting – Yorkville University
Tu Dao is an accomplished accounting professional, holding CPA and CGA designations, an MBA, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration. With over 15 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, he has demonstrated strong financial leadership, notably as a financial controller driving operational efficiency and growth. Tu’s mentorship and team leadership have helped build a culture of excellence and collaboration. As Associate Chair of the Accounting program at Yorkville University, he oversees 13 accounting and finance courses aligned with the CPA designation pathway. Passionate about education, he fosters inclusive, culturally aware learning environments that support critical thinking and student success.
Mai Thuy Chi – Secretary
Applied Behavior Analysis Student – Capilano University
Chi Mai is currently pursuing Applied Behavior Analysis (Autism) at Capilano University. She previously accumulated over 13 years of professional experience in the reinsurance industry in Vietnam after earning a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the University of Greenwich, UK. Through her professional experience, she developed a strong foundation in marketing, communication, and cross-cultural leadership. During her corporate career, Chi also led the company’s Youth Union for over 10 years, championing community outreach, corporate culture development, and social responsibility initiatives. Driven by a strong desire to create meaningful social impact, she made a life-changing decision to transition into the field of ABA. Her goal is to provide effective support to individuals with autism and their families while contributing to a more inclusive and compassionate society.
